Behind the Wild

Hi, I'm Kirsten, former midwesterner and lifelong yogi who now lives in Utah after working my butt off to refinish my Michigan home, sell 90% off my belongings, and hit the road for a more non-traditional life. A life where I got to travel full time and live out of my vehicle. I got to hike and be out in nature every single day. I picked up a new hobby (rock climbing!), learned to canyoneer, and even jumped out of a plane!

But the most important part of this journey was my journey back to myself. After feeling burned out for years, I realized it had been just as long since I had truly done something for myself. I was caught in a cycle of living for everyone else so much that I had lost a sense of who I was and even of what I enjoyed out of life. I was disconnected from my deep, wild soul.

For too long, I had denied myself of my voice. My spirit. My own self-love. When I finally, finally stopped quieting my intuition, my inner guidance, my Wild woman, I was able to step out of a place of chaos into a place of beauty. When I got divorced to protect my own safety and start listening to my gut, I changed my last name to Wild so that I may never forget.

And none of that would have been possible without first learning to love myself and my body. Yoga was instrumental. It taught me to look inward, to feel comfortable and confident in my skin, to listen to what my body and my emotions to feel for what I needed to move forward and let go of what no longer served me.

I'm passionate about helping women with that same strive for something more. I love to help them feel grounded and confident in their own bodies, build strength, get outdoors, and get unstuck.

I'm so grateful I now get to help others find joy in movement and start the path back to finding their own sense of self. My goal is to help women who are ready to reclaim their wild spirit and start once again living for themselves, finding joy in every day.

I now live my dream life because I listened to that deep knowing within. An intuition I had to follow. Now that my ears are open to what lives in the wild, untamed and unafraid, I'll do anything to help you find it, too.

Kirsten is a lifelong yoga student and is infinitely grateful for moments when she can share what she is learning with others. She believes in the healing power of yoga for the body, mind, and heart. Kirsten typically teaches slow flow yoga classes that are accessible to all levels, always offering variations based on who is in the class or requested focus areas. As she likes to tell people who say they can’t do yoga: “If you have a body, if you can breathe, you can do yoga.” Originally from Michigan, Kirsten is now a nomad, traveling and sharing the practice of yoga and studying when and where she can.

  • My Wild Women Membership asks you to start small and just commit 15 minutes a week! These small steps build trust within, help you discover what brings you joy, and build self-confidence.

  • The Wild Women Membership includes access to an online site with yoga, meditation, and breathwork videos; weekly emails with one journal prompt and one rewilding activity for just 15 minutes a week; a monthly yoga class on Zoom designed for the women in the program; and a community of like-minded women who are all learning and growing together.

How I can Help:

Build Strength & Confidence with 1:1 Yoga Sessions

  • We can do sessions 1:1 together in person or online for either 1 or 1.5 hours. We can do one session, or have a consistent schedule every week.

  • Studio yoga classes are amazing, but they are never going to be catered to your unique needs. Yoga is such a personal practice, and it’s my passion to help you find a yoga practice that aligns with your needs physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. During our first session, we will chat about your goals and how we can get you there. I’ll show you movement and breathwork that helps you achieve those goals. I can also recommend practices for you to take home with you.

Commit to a Fully-Integrated Self-Love Journey to Transform to Live Your Best Life

  • This signature Wild Brave Yoga program is 14 weeks long. You’ll commit to a few hours a week to go through the trainings, complete the readings, and spend time in reflection through journaling. The more time you put in, the more results you’ll see! It can be a big time commitment, but I promise you that you’re worth it.
